It was absolutely freezing and even after a good 3 laps and drills i still couldn't feel my entire feet!! Maybe that's why my foot felt good... because i couldn't feel it! Then i got to some runs and the first few felt great! I was able to get up on my toes and did alright times considering. I did 300m - 53.6, 200m - 34.4, 100m - 16, 200m 33.5, 300m 51.9 and 100m 16.5sec. But by the second 200m my foot had cramped up bad again and i could no longer run on my toes, the last 3 runs were painful so i had to stop and not do the other set :( I thought it would have lasted longer than this after 3 weeks off!!! It is quite painful now and back to the stage where it hurts to walk again. I didn't even run that much tonight, i had it strapped, i stretched it well. The cold wouldn't have helped though and being so cold i couldn't actually feel the ground when my feet hit it meant my foot was more cramped to start with. But at least i got to chat to the coach Jason about it and what i have done, he said he will try find out anything else i can do but for now i am happy to be joining them for a swimming session Sunday coming, at least i can join in with that!! Hopefully i can learn a few swimming drills to do which will benefit me while i can't run much. I feel like i am losing fitness i hate it.
On my way driving home this song came on the radio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxV-OOIamyk Gym class heroes 'The Fighter' and it was some inspiration i needed to pick me up. So i want to remember some lyrics...
Ya ever feel like your train of thought's been derailed?
That's when you press on
Every time you fall it's only making your chin strong
Every time you fall it's only making your chin strong
